Growing up in London with an abundance of creative energy led Dani Thompson to the performing arts at an early age. She began with ballet lessons at age three and soon after commenced piano studies. "My childhood was wonderful from a professional standpoint as I began competition in ballet at age four and piano from the age of six. Then verse speaking and voice (speech) competitions and … always practicing – not much playtime at all and an extremely strict upbringing which, at the time I thought was Victorian!"

Dani studied classical piano for twelve years at the Royal Academy of Music... and then her life changed. She won a coveted scholarship to the East 15 acting school where she studied with esteemed pedagogue Joan Littlewood. She immersed herself in study of the dramatic arts, receiving instruction from not only Littlewood, but also Margaret Bury and Jean Newlove. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Shakespearean Studies in only two years and then was accepted to the British Repertory Theater where she starred in over 75 stage productions and then went on to star in the National Tours of Two For The Seesaw (Gittel), Stop The World, I Want to Get Off (Evie), and Come Blow Your Horn (Connie) and many others.

Los Angeles has provided Dani with many opportunities to entertain with her sultry and charismatic voice. She’s captivated audiences in Southern California at Lunaria, 66 California, The Cinegrill, Soho in Santa Barbara, 2nd Street Jazz (Los Angeles), and many other venues. Her combination of undeniable stage presence, classy good looks, and her multilingual vocals make Dani Thompson an unbeatable performer. Her debut album LIKE A WOMAN showcases Dani’s talents at their height. She’s produced a listening experience that demonstrates just how powerful a lyric sung by the right voice can be. She’s embodied the title of the work and laid down her soul on every track, conveying the simplicity, the complication, the duality and seduction of the fairer sex.
